In God's rear view mirror we can see His light is always with us ♥

In God’s rear view mirror we can see His light is always with us ♥

In searching out the Word, the Lord has plenty to say about end times. He tells us about the cause, the effect and what must happen. Over and over again the end times were predicted, as God sent His prophets to teach and show the way.  “If my people…” is a repetitive opener many times in our Biblical history. The end times were terrifying back then, just as they are now.  But more terrifying to us should be the anger of the Lord when we purposefully disobey and chase those things He has taught us are not good for us:  violence, lust, hatred, greed, murder, selfishness, gossip, strife and division. All of this can come under the heading “Power Hunger”.  Even so, even when we are overrun by power hungry, self-serving people, God shows us the way we must handle things, beginning in the rear view mirror of Yawah.

Genesis 6:13 CJB “God said to Noah, “The end of all living beings has come before me, for because of them the earth is filled with violence. I will destroy them along with the earth.

Clear back in the beginning, we were rebellious towards God. We know that Lucifer was also rebellious, and that he tried to divide and stir up the host of heaven against God.  God overruled Lucifer’s intention, and cast him out of heaven.  He kept heaven a holy sanctuary for all eternity; there was no room for sin and corruption there.

So now, Lucifer, alive and angry was ready for a fight. It’s a very deep, dark disturbing story. While satan prowls the black, bottomless pit, he plots and plots in hopes of one day regaining a foothold in heaven and defeating Yawah, his very creator.

He will give his angels charge over you, to protect you in all your ways...

He will give his angels charge over you, to protect you in all your ways…

Enter man, created from God’s blood, in His image for His pleasure. This was flesh and blood, and this was where satan decided to attack, because he knew if he could defeat all of mankind, he would wound God where it hurt the most – in His heart.  So the battle wages.  We might be solely at the mercy of satan, if it weren’t for the blessings and help the Lord has given us:  The Holy Spirit, and guardian angels and the Word of God, which is the sword of God.  We don’t go out as helpless, hapless human beings to fight the big bad monster, do we.? Or do we?

Those help meets come at a price. It is called honoring God and stepping out according to His will.  And He promises we will not be alone; He promises to be with us, and if we persevere, in the end we will be victorious in Him.  “If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…”

Our sin is upon us in the USA. We have become a lewd country, given to personal lusts of all natures. We have turned our faces from our Lord, God and defied Him in going our own way, then calling it “good”.  We pretend that God has opened doors for us, which He has not. We puff ourselves up and call ourselves “worthy”, while our sins keep raining down around our shoulders.

The Lord will come with cleansing fire ♥

The Lord will come with cleansing fire ♥

Isaiah 10:25 CJB “For in but a little while, my fury will end; and my anger will have destroyed them.”

Isaiah 13:11 CJB  “I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity. I will end the arrogance of the proud and humble the insolence of tyrants.

Deuteronomy 9:14 CJB  “Let me alone, so that I can put an end to them and blot out their name from under heaven! I will make out of you a nation bigger and stronger than they.’

Ezekiel 23:48 CJB  ‘Thus I will put an end to lewdness in the land, so that all women may be taught not to imitate your lewdness.

Ezekiel 7:3 CJB “Now the end is upon you! I will send my anger upon you, I will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your disgusting practices.

god seesWe read about what is happening in the far east, and throughout the world the terrible things man is doing to man. We become frightened, and in the flesh, rightfully so. But God has a bigger and better plan, and He tells us to turn to Him and not worry. He tells us that He has the end planned out, and ready to commence, according to His will. God always sees – His eye is always on His creation.

Job 6:11 CJB “Have I enough strength to go on waiting? What end can I expect, that I should be patient?

Isaiah 46:10 CJB  “At the beginning I announce the end, proclaim in advance things not yet done; and I say that my plan will hold, I will do everything I please to do.

Mark 13:7 CJB “When you hear the noise of wars nearby and the news of wars far off, don’t become frightened. Such things must happen, but the end is yet to come.

I can’t begin to understand all that God has planned, and I know of no other Christian who does, either. And so it comes as a hurtful surprise to me when fellow Christians are angry at me (and others like me) who choose not to rage, and call names, and act in ways which are so contrary to God. I know I do not have the capacity to change anything, except by prayer and good stewardship, accepting with maturity the gift of election.  I have no clue as to go about changing things in Washington, DC.  It has not been something God has assigned me to.  To others, yes. But to nobody has He assigned acting in hatred.  No twists. No personal grieving.  Just a true, passionate desire to return this country to what God intended for it all those years ago, at a time when we so believed God was with us that we even put in on our currency:  In God We Trust.

There is no other way to victory than His way, to love one another ♥

There is no other way to victory than His way, to love one another ♥

How then, can we as Christians share back and forth the spewing of hatred and slander, yet saying in God we trust. How then, as Christians can we expect the sick, lost, hungry, thirsty and seeking to come to know our Lord when we speak out of both sides of our mouths?  Is it any wonder false doctrines are making their way into the people’s hearts, and they are taking up Budhism, and islam and B’Hai, witchcraft and other false religions. And the fault lies exactly at the feet of the Christians, because we disobeyed His final command to go into the world and make disciples, loving one another even to the point of laying down our lives [putting them first]. It isn’t easy, but it can be done, because God requires it, and He doesn’t give us something we can’t handle.

We need to look in the review mirror at past civilizations which have crumbled and disappeared, because they thought they knew better than God. They thought they could do what they wanted, lying about what God wanted and get away with it.  We simply can’t. We need to learn to handle our problems in a Godly manner, pursue the cause and defeat it, but do it in love.  The other way doesn’t seem to be working! Yes, we had better learn, and do it quickly, for that’s how the Lord does it. He comes quickly!

So I will continue to do what the Lord has called me to do, and do it according to His will, to the best of my ability. If I stumble or make a mistake, I know He will give me a helping hand up, and forgive me.  For me there is no other truth than this.

Job 19:25 CJB  “But I know that my Redeemer lives, that in the end he will rise on the dust..”

For I know my Redeemer lives, and in the end He will stand on the earth.. though my flesh it be destroyed, yet with my eyes I will see God, for I know that my Redeemer lives, and I will stand with Him on that day."

For I know my Redeemer lives, and in the end He will stand on the earth.. though my flesh it be destroyed, yet with my eyes I will see God, for I know that my Redeemer lives, and I will stand with Him on that day.”

Are you ready?

Are you ready?

Today brothers and sisters, we are inundated with negative news. Higher prices everywhere. More stress in people’s lives due to the miserable economy. TV is flooded with stories of people who are stocking a cache of supplies, food, water and weapons to prepare for some apocalyptic event.

Is it a denial of your faith to make such preparations?

I contend that is is absolutely NOT a denial of your faith. I believe being prepped is an act of faith. Faith in the word of God, as we see the signs of the season we are living in.

History teaches us that human misery on a mass scale happens the same way over and over again. It begins with a group of people who would make themselves tyrants and oppressors if we give them the opportunity. And sadly, we have given them that opportunity, and they are taking full advantage.

The world is in turmoil. The masses of people in this nation are sadly uninformed, ignorant, and lazy. So lazy in fact that they easily believe the lie from the left that they can coast through life without ever working to take responsibility for their own well-being.

When you see the agenda of the global elites who control world banks and the Federal Reserve, you come to realize that we are living in perilous times. People who share our Christian faith are seeing an alarming disdain shown by the current administration toward our Christian values. They’ve gone as far as trying to force business run by people of faith to comply with the health care provisions in Obama-care which require businesses/insurers to provide birth control, contraceptives, even the morning-after abortion pill.

At the same time, they are trying to ram same-sex marriage down the throats of churches and states, claiming that this is a matter of basic human rights.

They are blatantly crossing the lines, trying to provoke people of faith to lash out in anger. They are looking for any excuse to demonize people of faith, and to seize that opportunity to try and take away people’s rights, one at a time, beginning with the right to keep and bear arms.

So what should we do, as people of faith, to prepare for the hard times to come, and how do we know hard times will come?

Let me address the second part of that question first. We know hard times are c0ming because we know that any nation that turns it’s back on God and God’s laws(and goes far astray, sinning greatly, and showing no remorse) will be subject to the judgments of God.

And we know from John the Revelator that in these days there will be judgments poured out on this land. These judgments will continue to get more and more intense, severe, and hard-hitting.

Believing that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, I have no doubt whatsoever that America is on the brink of the hardest days in our history. Because we have allowed the holocaust of abortion, killing 60 Million babies, America will be judged.

For tinkering with the laws of nature, and manipulating nature through eugenics and genetic modification of foods, disease will continue to plague our people. The epidemic of type-2 diabetes is almost completely caused by the big agricultural powers that be engineering foods that make people ill, in conjunction with big pharmaceutical companies and the insurance racket.

We know also that war without end for the sake of propping up a series of mega-corporations(oil, defense contractors and of course the Arab Sheiks) has consequences.

We know that in the last decade, we have seen human suffering on a very large scale come to pass with more and more frequency, and each time a bit more deadly.

Think about it. There was the terrible tsunami in the Indian Ocean which killed over a quarter of a million people in places like Indonesia. The following summer there was Katrina. There were several other major storms in the U.S> and all around the world.

There was the B.P. oil spill, which was very harmful to the victims of Katrina.

Then there was the Japan earthquake of 3/11/2011, and the tsunami that followed, which is still killing victims thanks to the meltdowns at Fukushima.

That same spring, we saw the worst outbreak of tornadoes in the U.S. in recorded history. Hundreds of tornadoes in just a couple of days wiped out places like Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Joplin, Missouri.

And we have also seed drought. We have seen flooding. We have seen terrible wildfires. We have seen these things happen with such regularity that we come to expect these things to happen.

And yet people laugh at people who decide to be responsible and make provisions for themselves and their families because they are by nature sensible and responsible.

We’re not trying to gather bushels and bushels of manna, which would be sinful. But we are preparing for the days which will lead to the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus, and we are positioning ourselves in such a way that we can then minister to the needs of those who are in need in that terrible day of tragedy.

We have been equipped by our creator with sound minds, and skilled hands, and understanding that tells us to be responsible, and trust in no man, only trust in God, and believe that if He gives you a vision, tells you to make ready for the hardships to come, that He will reward us for being attuned to His spiritual leading.

You do not have to live in a grass hut or a FEMA camp. You don’t have to take handouts from the government. And you do not have to abandon your home just because there is no electricity or running water.

Preppers may strike some people as funny…until of course something terrible happens. Suddenly there is nothing funny about it.

It is no denial of faith to store up a food pantry with several months worth of food. There is nothing immoral about planning for a day of suffering.

We prep BECAUSE we beieve!

And the most imprtant prep you can make: Prepare your soul, and your heart, and your mind, by taking Jesus the Christ, as your personal Lord and Savior. That is the ultimate prep. Nothing else means anything if you do not know Jesus.

Beware of False Prophets

Beware of False Prophets: Are Mormons real Christians?

30-some-odd years ago, I was 19 years old, a bachelor, living in my own apartment thousands of miles from my parent’s home, and settling into my life as an independent young man in Anchorage, Alaska.

One day, a pair of younger Mormon ‘missionaries’ knocked on my door. They were there to try and present to me their “faith”.

But what they did not know was that I was and continue to be a Christian, evangelical, and well-versed for someone as young as I was. When they began their presentation, I felt lead to instead turn it around on them and present my faith to them. And one of the things Jesus instructed us to do in these days, in this age, is to try the spirits, to winnow out those who are not of God.

The Holy Spirit is the all-powerful presence in my life, and only those who are washed truly in the Blood of Jesus can give utterance to the statement which follows: Jesus Christ is alive in the flesh today,

That same body which bore the scars from where he was nailed to the cross, is the body which he lives in even now, at the right hand of the Father in Heaven,

And this simple way of trying the spirit is 100 percent accurate, I have discovered. These young men looked like the proverbial deer-in-the-headlights. They could not speak the words. I gave them several chances. They went away with their tails tucked, I am sure they were bothered and confused.

I am sure many people get deceived into thinking that Mormonism is a valid Christian faith, but the truth is they are deceived, and have fallen into a cult which has tried very hard to imitate Christianity, and often Catholicism, in the hope they can draw people in to an outwardly visible world where they promote traditional family values, presenting a form of godliness, but denying the power of the Holy Spirit, and denying the deity of Jesus.

My faith consists of the knowledge that I am a sinner, that God took pity on me when He saw that I was a sinner, and that He loved me so much that in order to make a way for me to have fellowship with Him, He took the form of a man, and He, born of a virgin, fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament, He lived a sinless life, He knew whose Son He was, and He proclaimed His own gospel, and created a new covenant, a new means by which sinners could be reconciled with God.

Jesus chose the Cross, for my sake. He bore my shame, my sins, and He died for my sake! He was buried in a tomb, a large stone served as the immovable barrier that separated the living from the dead. Even so, He rolled the stone away!

Jesus was resurrected on the third day by His Heavenly Father. He was alive. His body had been glorified by God, and though he had the scars of his crucifixion, His body was now incorruptible. And that same body, inhabited by God’s only begotten Son, is in the mercy seat, hearing our prayers and petitions before God the Father.

THAT is my faith. THAT is who I am, and what I proclaim as the Gospel. I believe what Jesus said, that many would come in His name, claiming to be the reincarnation of Him, and would produce signs and wonders to deceive many. THAT is why it is important to TRY the spirits, Understand that by trying the spirits, you are obeying Jesus. If that offends somebody, it is not you that offends, but Jesus Christ in you!

What a privilege it is to carry His gospel, to share a testimony that He alone, Jesus Christ alone is THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE, and that NO MAN comes to reconciliation with God the Father, except he confesses with his mouth, that JESUS CHRIST is LORD, that HE LIVES EVEN TODAY, and that He is coming again very quickly!

Why ME, Lord???

Why ME, Lord???

Have you ever wondered why other people you know have things so easy, yet you seem to struggle just to keep your head above water?

It’s only human to feel that way. It has been a common thing in my life as well. I see seemingly care-free people, who always seem to have plenty of spending-money, who drive shiny new cars, take lavish vacations, and they seem to be immune to the kinds of struggles that bog down so many.

You might think these people are blessed, and you might wonder if you are cursed. Please pay close attention to this message. It could change your life!

Hebrews 12:6 says:

“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”

Proverbs 3:12 says:

“For whom the LORD loves he corrects; even as a father the son in whom he delights.”

Furthermore, you should be concerned if your life doesn’t have its share of struggles and trials. Life on this earth, in this world, is not supposed to be smooth sailing for the children of God.

If you are not experiencing any of the chastening of the Lord, you need to re-evaluate your walk with God. This is not to say that if all your bills are paid and you live in a nice home that you are not a true child of God. But you must feel the chastening, the vexing in your soul when something is not right between you and your Heavenly Father.

Whom God loveth, he chasteneth. If you are living with some sin you have not confessed and repented of, and your life seems unaffected by it, you should be very alarmed!

For God does indeed convict His children when they stray outside of His will, and His commandments.

The rod of correction should be like a comfort to you. It tells you that your Father loves you enough to not withhold his punishment when you ignore His Word.

If you are not feeling His rod of correction, are you truly a legitimate child of His?

Deuteronomy 8:5 says:

“Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.”

So what if you do not feel the rod of correction? Is it really that big of a deal? According to the writings of the Apostle Paul, it is a HUGE deal.

Hebrews 12:8 says:

“But if you be without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then are you illegitimate children, and not sons.”

Other translations go as far as using the term “bastard” to describe a person who does not receive correction from God.

If you feel heavily burdened, due to consequences of things you have done wrong, or you just aren’t sure why “these things” keep happening to you, study God’s word, and pray God reveals to you what you need to correct in your walk with Him.

And take courage in knowing that God loves you, and all His children enough to not spare the rod of correction. It means you are HIS child, and you have been made His LEGITIMATE child by the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ, the LAMB of God!

God be with you all.

His Burden is Light

His Burden is Light

When I was in my youthful years, I benefitted greatly in life because my mother was so faithful in not only taking us to church, but exposing us to so much of the gospel and the great music and art associated with the Christian faith.

As I grew into my young adulthood, I had the pleasure and privilege of singing in church choirs, as well as the Concert Choir at the college I attended. And among the many pieces we performed, none thrilled my soul quite so much as Handel’s Messiah!

The lyrics were so uplifting, faith-building, and powerful that they are practically indellibly etched into my neural network.

His Yoke is easy, His burden is light. For the mouth of The Lord hath SPOKEN IT!!!

As we settle into the roles God has put us in, in ministry, in worship, in our daily lives, I find these words never far from my mind. He promises so many things, and in all my years, I find that life only PROVES HIM to be true to His promises, and we KNOW we walk in victory, for He has PROCLAIMED it!

Of course, growing up a Baptist, the hymnal holds many treasures which seem like old friends when I hear them today.

One such hymn is “‘Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus”.

The lyric”Jesus! Jesus! How I trust Him, how I’ve proved Him O’er and O’er. Jesus! Jesus! Precious Jesus! Oh, for faith to trust Him more!!”

In our daily lives, we see His Word proven over and over. Every day is proof of His love, His grace, His mercy, and His holiness.

When you accept the Holy Spirit, by taking Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your life becomes a record of God’s mercy, and you will come to know with surety that God’s word is true, and it comes to life, and remains relevant in the lives of His children, just as He promised it would.

Earthly scholars who do not believe cannot begin to comprehend the wonder of God’s word. God’s word transcends languages, it transcends translations, and it remains wholly and completely divine, because the Holy Spirit reveals it to His people.

We do not walk according to the flesh any more. And if we will live in obedience, humility and reverently seek God’s will for us, we will become mighty through Him.

Jesus told us that WE would do greater things than HE did.

John 14:12:
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

How or when I do not know, but I know it is true. HOW do I know it is true?

Trusting God to catch us

Trusting God to catch us

Lord, I believe…help my unbelief!

This quotation, from Mark 9:24 is uttered by a father whose child was thought to be dead, but whom Jesus restored. The father believed Jesus was able to restore his child, yet lingering unbelief in his mind caused him to make the request of Jesus: “Help my unbelief”.

What we must remember is that our spirit, which has been transformed by Jesus, is still at war with our old nature. Our humanity is something which we must force into submission to the Holy Spirit, and often our human nature pitches fits trying to gain dominance.

We must then remember this picture of trust. The child leaps into the waiting arms of his father. The child’s trust is absolute. There is no hesitation, and once committed to leap, the child simply “knows” that his father will catch him, at any cost.

We need to restore this kind of child-like faith in our Heavenly Father. He paid the cost. He will catch us, never failing!!

Are you at a crossroads in life? Is God calling you to serve in some sacrificial way, and you are not seeing any way you can afford to do it? You are unsure what will happen, perhaps you fear that the cost of leaping is not worth the risk?

Know this, brothers and sisters: Jesus will always make a way for us, as we walk in obedience and submission to the Holy Spirit. We must walk in the Spirit, and not in the flesh. We must force our human nature to submit to God’s perfect will for us.

Do not be reckless or deluded into thinking that God wants you to buy a Rolls Royce and putting a “Jesus is Lord” bumper sticker on it. But do not toss out visions God does give you, only because you see no way to bring them to fruition!

Your faith is a muscle. You must exercise it regularly, and the more you use it, the stronger and more capable it will become.

God will always catch us, so long as we are walking in obedience, and trusting in him to the utmost.

God, I believe. Help my unbelief, I pray. AMEN

OUR PRAYER:  We gather together to lift our voices as one to plead for our nation!  Lord, hear our cries and lead us into this spiritual battle.  We rebuke the enemy from oppression of the government and the people, and we bind the enemy in Jesus’ name.  Send forth your waring angels, O Lord and help us to break the jaw of the enemy and to tear down the fortress of the enemy.  Help us to go lower than any sin and pray it lose that it may be cast into the everlasting fires.  Let us go so far from east to west that there is no beginning nor ending to our prayers, O Lord. And let us lift our voices higher and higher into Your throne room.  Let us wreak havoc on every evil plan.  We beg that you cast down every vain imagination of the enemy.  Let us shout and claim the victory in You, Our Lord and Savior, as you break the chains that bind our nation!  In Jesus’ name, Amen~
